This dissertation "Choir loft composers of the 18th century in Broumov" deals with a problematic of church music progress of this century in concrete Bohemian region- in north-east Bohemia- in Broumov.
The whole text is dividend into six main chapters which illustrate and typify elementary cultural patterns of this specific locality, history of this beautiful region, than the history of benedictine friary with consideration to situation in the Břevnov-Broumov abbacy. Afterwars comes a relative self-dependent chapter that describes the organ in the cloistral church of St.Vojtěch and the organ in the dean church of St.Peter and St.Paul in Broumov as an instrument of main music output of the leading composers from this region that time. The next and pivotal part of the dissertation focuses in on the most remarkable composers and regenschori of the Břevnov- Broumov abbacy in the 18th century- at a time and on behalf of abbot Othmar Zinke (1700-1738), Benno Löbel (1738-1751), where ist especially focused to music componist Valentin Fechner and Friedrich Grundmann (1752-1772), where I subjected again a smaller chapter pointed to a significant composer Franz Xaver Czerny and analysed some of his sacral pieces.
All the text of the dissertation is richly historiated with many pictures and photographs that pertinently documentate each chapter.
