Abstrakt
One of my first projects done with digital camera, a 3 year long project, is a series of photographs in a form of a book. Wondering through the city, occupied with problems and statements on advertising photography, I started estheticizing printed materials, ? pulling out ? details of billboards, posters and stickers. This approach was for me kind of escape and exploration of my emotions and thoughts, unconsciously shaped in photographic form at the end. Affordable digital technology with its characteristics gave me freedom not to think about expenses for this project. I just went out and did it. At some locations I've made just one shoot, at other 20-30. By the time when the project got its form and direction, I started selecting images. Was it because of my often thoughts about crime, aggression, feminism, woman position in society or because of advertising as it is, my photographs had this kind of emotions and subjects. Due to quantity of images and themes I have explored and emotional states in certain moments, photographs do not have clear connection. They are mosaic of my thoughts in period of almost 3 years of my life.
